DIY Ugly Christmas Sweater

If you’re sick of cozying up next to the tree in your ugly Christmas sweater alone, why not gift someone the chance to join you? These are fun to give as a gag gift, or a fast and easy solution for your Ugly Christmas Sweater Party dress code!

All you need to do is start with a clean sweatshirt or sweater in whatever style or color you prefer (use one you have already, or buy one from Amazon or Walmart). Then, just go crazy with your fabrics and decoration.

If you want to get creative with your fabrics, here are a few we recommend:
Metallic foil – Make a shiny Rudolf nose or fashion some Christmas lights or shiny present bow.
Flannel – A staple cold-weather fabric! Can’t go wrong with this one.
Terrycloth – A fun way to add texture to your sweater. Cute for making animals like polar bears, penguins and reindeer.
