Why Use A Sunshade

Why Use a Sun Shade

Sun Shade Cloths are often times made of woven polypropylene shade cloths and used for many applications to repel heat. CCS’s Sun Shade Cloths offer sun protection by blocking 85% of UVA & UVB rays. Woven Shade Cloths are made from interwoven UV stabilized polypropylene threads that are more versatile in function than knitted or lath shade cloths. Woven Shade Cloths are more durable and will tolerate extreme sun exposure, with minimal stretch and shrinkage.

Woven Shade Cloth

Woven Shade Cloth – made by interlacing long threads passing in one direction with others passing at a right angle. Results in a durable sheet that can serve in many applications.

Knitted Shade Cloth

Knitted Shade Cloth – made by interlocking loops. Limited in application, more suitable for agriculture purposes.

Lath Shade Cloth

Lath Shade Cloth – made in Lattice style to allow space between strands.

Sun Shades are commonly used in agricultural and home garden settings to protect plants from sun over-exposure, while still allowing rain to seep through. Sun Shades also come in handy for many patio settings, especially when everyone wants to enjoy the summer weather without being exposed to extreme heat or harmful rays from the sun. A Sun Shade is a great option to increase patio privacy above and around a pool area. The applications of a Sun Shade Cloth are endless; here are some additional ideas:

  • A Sun Shade will be the perfect semi-permanent solution if you find yourself constantly setting-up and taking down an “E-Z Up”.
  • Take a Sun Shade Cloth camping!
  • A Shade Cloth roll is an ideal choice if you need to provide year round shade and shelter from wind for outdoor pets. An installed shade cloth would provide enough shade for dog runs, pet kennels, rabbit cages, chicken coops, or shade houses in pastures for livestock.
  • Outdoor Shade Cloth Rolls are often used in tennis courts

I just moved to a very hot climate and it is taking me a while to get used to it. I like the idea you give here of installing a sun shade to protect yourself from the harsh rays of the sun. I imagine that they must have a special material that allows them to do so without getting damaged. I will be sure to look more into this, thanks for sharing!
